My First Job

I remember being with my friend Rachel in the summer of 1998, and thinking to myself I need some money. I was tired of my parents complaining I cost too much, and I needed a place to raise some extra cash. So I was at a United Artist Theaters, and I filled out an application.

I started work in Sales and Food Service. I would sell popcorn, hot dogs, drinks, candy. You'd be surprised the amount of BUTTER people put on their popcorn. Its crazy. It's not healthy either. I had the usual people come to my line all the time. I saw them every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Also during the summer I was in summer school. They made fun of me cause I drove a Mustang and one of the managers drove a Camero and then someone else drove a Firebird. I had so many problems with that mustang, but thats for another chat.

I worked for United Artist for 7 years, throughout high school and through my community college experences until I got into an accident with my 00 mustang. Some drunk/drugged driver hit me at 55 mph, head on, and i walked out with just a tore ligiment. the car was totaled.
My lawyer did jack for me, only got the minimum. I lost my movie theater job, they terminated me. why? I don't know they never said. But I was in a cast, I was in tampa now, and I couldn't work for them anymore.

I did finish my college education the term i got hit. I did end up getting a D, dropping two, and getting a B-. I missed 5 weeks of class. I tried to make up the work but some of the professors were so ahead that I couldn't catch up. plus i wasn't in the right frame of mind for any of it.
